Saved Our LIVES!!
By Kandi | on Tuesday, August 28, 2007
This car was by far the best car I have ever owned! It was roomy dependable and classy! Got great gas mileage and had alot of power. But most imoportant it saved my family's life! My husband, my two babies (2ys and 7m) and I were in a horrible rollover accident while driving this car. Just by looking at the car you would not expect there to be any survivors. But because of how well built the maxima was and having all 6 air bags deploy, with the help of seat belts and proper child seats, we all walked away without a broken bones or stiches! I thank God every day for sparing our lives and I know that if we were driving anything else our luck might not be so good.… - 3.0
Higs and Lows
By Jimbo | on Saturday, September 10, 2011
My 2004 has served me adequately, but not well. It's beautiful and has gadgets and gizmos galore. My wife loves the folding mirrors and heated steering wheel. We like the fact that the driver's seat memory includes mirror and steering wheel positions. Mechanically, we've been pleased with 30 MPG on long drives. What we didn't like was premature failure of struts and rear ABS system problems ($2000). We are still waiting for the transmission problems to surface, but are glad to wait.… - 1.0
Worst piece of junk ever
By Tanny | on Monday, November 18, 2019
I bought this car new and baby'd it...like serious car care because I had a mechanic that I trust. At 130,000 I had to rebuild my transmission for almost $3000(the transmission guy told me the only reason why I got 130,000 out of the original transmission is that he could tell I cared for it very well...so basically no matter what I did, I was just delaying the inevitable). Around 105,000 miles, I had to have the timing chain tensioners replaced for around $1200. Both the transmission and timing chain tensioners are well known Nissan issues (just peruse any Nissan messaging board) I've done so many other repairs (it's like at certain point, everything goes out). The quality of these cars are absolutely terrible and I will never buy another Nissan. I wouldn't recommend a Nissan to my worst enemy.…
